I've done two big projects about the edge of water: By Sea and Frontière, Frontiera, Grenze. As I become more interested in narratives it makes sense I've returned to familiar territory. I like the connotations of this threshold between states of matter. I like the tension between idle pleasures and background anxieties like sea level rise, desertification, and a million tiny ways our world is ratcheting into a very different environment... At least I like how it works in pictures.

I'm calling this loose collection of images Water's Edge for the time being. I like the ubiquity of this term. The first page of a Google search turned up songs, a novel, restaurants, a tax law term, and a destination wedding resort in Sri Lanka. In time I may put a finer point on these pictures, but this spaciousness feels appropriate right now.
